Only those interns applications are accepted which meet the formal criteria. After that interns take part in a complex interview where their motivation and competences are checked.

The selection process consists of three parts:
•    Formal screening of the applications by the Department for Training in Government Offices.
•    Electronic competence test, which is evaluated by the Department for Training in Government Offices.
•    Motivational interviews are conducted by the Selection Committee of the Government Agencies. Interns can choose the place of the interview where he /she intends to work later.
The selection process focuses on the essential competencies that are needed in the daily work.
At the end of the selection process the Selection Committee send a proposal to the Department for Training in Government Offices on suggested interns. The Department for Training in Government Offices examines the proposal and forwards it to the PMC. On the basis of the PMC’s recommendation the Minister decides on award of the selected interns.
